Fraser Hill Trip - A place of no surprises...

Got no time to write a post on the Fraser Hill trip... bo bian.. can't possibly take one day leave just to stay at home and write right?? Anyway now that dar is still out at Changi Village with his colleagues for dinner & drinks.. at least I have some time on my hands to do a quick post..

Set off for Fraser Hill at 6am in the morning on 9th August 2007.. woke up super early around 5am plus... washed up and off we went to meet Zhaowei and Lily at Blk 211 for breakfast... actually we didnt plan for breakfast.. I cant eat that early in the morning... dar just wanna to tabao coffee - the essential item needed to keep him awake throughout the entire journey of more than 6 hours... anyway we ended up having very yucky & oily fried noodles.. i didnt eat much neither did I drank much.. becoz I havent fully recovered from my illness yet so I scared too much water will mean I will need to keep on going to the toilet...

Anyway after breakfast, we set off to the old causeway.. expecting it to be very little cars.. since it is only 6 - 7am in the morning.. a bit of jam but we thought ok... not too bad... crossed the Singapore customs... went straight into a massive jam of Singapore cars.. the entire causeway was fully jammed up la.. early in the morning... haiz... what to do.. it is National Day.. we wun be the only Singaporeans to take a long weekend away... so we slowly worked our way throughout the jam.. only managed to cross Malaysia customs abt 7 coming to 8am...

Pumped petrol... toilet break... then all the way to Pagoh.. another toilet break... then all the way to *i forgot where*.. hahaha.. we stopped for a couple of more toilet breaks along the way and once more for petrol before going up to Fraser Hill..

We went past a huge lake / dam (cant figure out what was it) in the midst of greenery and hills.. we thought "wah we didnt make the wrong decision to come to Fraser Hill".. so beautiful... parked our cars by the side and took some photos...

Then we started the climb... winding roads, tight bends... dar have so much fun "drifting" throughout... hahaha... anyway the roads was a one way up and one way down so it is like a S course in the driving circuit.. hahaha... very tight... and you really need super good driving skills..

Then we reached Fraser Hill.. went to check into our apartment first... We were staying in Fraser Hill Silverpark Apartment.. the service is lousy man.. the receptionist kept speaking Malay to urs at the beginning.. and she is slow... asked us to wait.. dunno for wat also... anyway we checked in finally...

All of us are super hungry by then so we went out for food... first stop we went to the restaurant located at the apartment.. the waitress at the restaurant mumbled something in malay.. when she realised we couldnt understand malay at all... she mumbled something abt the restaurant being closed for function.. we asked abt the price.. she then mumbled something abt checking for us.. and never come back... *vomit blood*

So we went back to our cars and drove out to the city centre.... to realise that the city centre is basically just a row of shops (2 cafes and one gift shop) and a roundabout... OH MY GOD!!!

Anyway we were so hungry by then, we went straight for the chinese restaurant named Restoran Hill View... we ordered fried beehoon, char kway tiao and fried rice.. the food is super expensive... but what to do.. nowhere else to eat.. so have to let ppl carrot lo.. hahaha

After lunch... we decided to do some exploration.. found a mama shop... brought beer and mineral water.. walked around the roundabout... nothing else... drove out of the town centre... went in search for the waterfall....which accordingly to the guy at the chinese restaurant is one of the only attaction at Fraser Hill

Actually the waterfall also not too difficult to find.. hahaha.. since the entire place is soooo small.. so we arrived at the waterfall.. which you need to walk quite a distance in from the main parking area...

Haha.. since it is the only attraction... must take more photos right?? Haha.. actually I think the government or tourism organisation also know that that is the only attraction in Fraser Hill ba.. becoz when we were there.. there were construction works going on.. they were building resting stops, pavilions, a better pavement... and so we cant actually walk down further to grasp the full view of the waterfall as there were construction works going on there too.. the construction workers were nice becoz they kept asking us to go down.. but we didnt dare too.. so we walked back...

We then drove to another attraction on the map called Allan's Water which is supposed to be a reacreational lake... but when we reached there.. to our dismay we realised it is like this....

Haha.. how pathetic.. I would classify it as a pond.. rather than a lake... but anyway we came out with a slogan by then...Our slogan for Fraser Hill is "Dont be surprised"... hahahaha... becoz you cant expect much out of that place.. so you cant be surprised at what they have to "offer"...

Anyway we finished exploring the place in lessthan 4 hours.. so we decided to return back to our apartment... and we ended up taking photos around our apartment.. by then we noticed a lot of Singaporean cars have started to arrive.. and we were like "haha.. all kana cheated.. hahaha.. we already finished exploring the place and we so hope that we dun need to stay for one more night..." luckily we didnt book 2 nights at Fraser Hill.. i would have fainted.. hahaha..

After taking photos, we went back to our apartment.. switched on the TV.. nothing to watch.. it was cold.. just like natural air conditioning (the only good thing there)... so we ended up sleeping.... very comfortably.. hahaha.. then we went out in search for dinner..

Didnt wanna to eat again at the town centre.. where all the Singaporean cars were.. I guess they too realised how pathetic the situation is by now.. hahaha.. so we went to the restaurant belonging to a hotel called Shahzan Inn.. the interior and exterior of the hotel look super stylo man.. the price for the hotel is almost the same as ours.. slightly more expensive.. should have stayed there rather than Silverpark man.. but anyway we went for the steamboat dinner package... with tom yam soup and chicken stock.. at least dinner wasnt that bad after all.. and the service was in fact quite good.... went back to the room after dinner.. the guys drank beer.. we chit chatted then it's bed time..

Woke up in the morning... I wanna to catch the sunrise becoz i thought sunrise in a mountainous region will be very beautiful.. but I missed it.. so I only get to see this...

But ok la.. still beautiful... we then went for breakfast.. lousy breakfast too.. everything with that apartment simply sucks to me man.. breakfast is just fried rice, fried mee goreng, hotdogs, baked beans, eggs, cornflakes and bread.. alamak... all of us didnt have a filling breakfast man..anyway we cant wait to check out.. so after breakfast, we went back to our room, packed our bags and checked out of that apartment.. before we left Fraser Hill.. a group photo...

Set off down Fraser Hill.. came across this waterfall on our way down.. stopped over to take some pictures...

I am going to stop here now... nothing interesting follows after anyway... since we drove all the way back to SG.. at night... will edit this blog when I have the time.. to perhaps add some captions to the pictures.. but till then.. good night pals.. it is very late now.. and it's bedtime for me...

New Goals In Life

One of my new year resolutions beginning of this year was to get my driving license. Nw i got it. I think it is time to move on to something else.

Thinking of various options
1) Adult swimming course
2) Customer service related certification courses
3) Personal make up course
4) Javanese massage course

2 and 3 shouldnt be too difficult for me. 4 should be still ok. 1 will be the toughest.

But i complained abt driving being difficult at the beginning too. In fact i thought it was the most difficult thing i would ever have done in my life till now. But now that i passed. Nothing seem to be impossible le.

Pre-Monday Blues...

I love the weekends..

But only 2 days... *duhz*

I hate the weekdays..

Got 5 days U know!!

Especially Monday....

*gosh....

I wonder who was the one who started the trend of working 5 days from Monday to Friday and rest days on Saturday and Sunday?? Why cant they do it opposite? Like working on Saturday and Sunday, and having rest days on Monday to Friday??

Make things clear...

I dun exactly hate work...

But I dread work...

Coz it will be best if I dun need to work...

Which will never come true unless I am on leave, MC or when I am perhaps 70 years old (If I ever live to 70s)

I just wan to nua at home...

Even though it means extreme boredom

And doing nothing but wasting time for the entire day...

Haunted by the past...

Once upon a time..

Long time ago...

I didnt treasure what I have....

I treated everything for granted..

Like it should happen or it should be the way...

I overlooked the good and concentrated on the bad...

Like it is only the bad that matters and nothing good ever happen....

I missed out on all the small actions which actually means care and concern...

Like a fast forward tape where some parts are being missed or skipped over...

Will history repeat itself??

Will I make the same mistakes I did in the past??

Now thinking back, in fact he did care... but I just didnt "notice".....

Would You Be There by Redwan Ali

If I were blue, would you be there for me,
And whisper in my ears that’s okay.
Would you stand by me,
Let me hold you tight,
And say you love me one more time.

If I feel good, would you slow dance with me,
And touch my lips with tender love and care.
Would you die for me,
Would you run with me,
And never look back.

Would you be there to love, to be with me ?
Would you swear that your love is always true ?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one, to take my breath away ?

Would you be there to love, to be with me ?
Would you swear that your love is always true ?
Would you say that you’ll always be the one, to take my breath away ?

Would you be there ..

Most "SUAY" gal on earth....

Yeh that's me.. and I am damn PISSED with it la..

I am going for a self-drive holiday (dar is the one driving) to Fraser Hill.. It is a freaking long journey of more than 6 hours

And I am SICK!!! Down with Urinary tract infection... (not paiseh to say)

Nothing can be better / best I tell u...

NOTHING!!!!

The last time I was down with the same infection right, I tried to act doc by treating myself... in the end it got worse... from urinary tract infection to bladder infection and a near inch before I nearly said goodbye to my kidneys....

So this time, I went straight to the doctor.. and it doesnt seem to get better loh.. I am starting to get fever and chills and nausea (which might be becoz of I am sick from drinking too much plain water)... doc told me yesterday he will give me some medicine.. if by tomolo (which is today) I dun get better, I got to go back to see him and get a stronger medicine and an injection...

But the main thing is I am going on a holiday tomolo!!! I dun wan to be stopping at every single toilet along North-South Highways to relief myself, neither do I wan to risk going all the way up to Fraser Hill (which I assume is superb ulu) to kana a more jialat problem like bladder infection...or even kidney infection.. no hospitals to send me to lei!!

I have to drink more water... (to pass out all the bacteria / virus) and I HATE DRINKING WATER... *vomit*... and I get sick from drinking too much water.... but bo bian.. in order to get better I forced myself to start a water marathon since yesterday la... I drank like more than 8 cups of plain yucky drinking water everyday lo... which is basically almost the amount of drinking water I will drink in a week la...

Apparently... last min hugging the Buddha foot is nv useful... especially when u are sick........ like me...
